Planning & Strategy
It is difficult to achieve anything in your business if you don't have a plan let alone review it regularly.
A strategic plan looks at all the things your business could do and narrows it down to the things your business is actually good at doing. A strategic plan also helps you to determine where to spend your time, your human capital, and your money.
Creating a strategic plan can seem like an overwhelming process but, if you break it down, it’s easier to tackle than you think.
EM Business Consultants Now has a five step process that looks at:
Where you’re at now
We will conduct internal and external audits so we can get a detailed understanding of your market, the competitive environment, and your business's real competencies.
Pinpointing what’s important
Develop a focus on where you want to take your business over time. This establishes the direction of your business over the longer term and clearly defines your mission and vision. From here we can determine the priority issues—those issues so significant to the overall well-being of your business that they require the full, and immediate, attention of the entire management team.
Defining what you must achieve
Define the expected objectives that clearly state what your business must achieve to address the priority issues.
Determining who is accountable
This is how you’re going to get to where you want to go. The strategies, action plans, and budgets are all steps in the process that effectively communicates how you will allocate time, human capital, and money to address the priority issues and achieve the defined objectives.
Review, Review, Review
It’s not over. It’s never over.
To ensure the plan performs as designed, we will hold regular accountability meetings with you. We suggest at least once a quarter, but for optimum results we recommend monthly.
